This is my process on how I break down a project from a concept. In Photoshop I assign each material a color, this helps me figure out the scope of the work I will be creating.

I used these poles in Marvelous Designer to roll the bolts of cloth. After getting them into the general shape I wanted, I changed the material to a stiff leather to tidy up the edges using the poles like chopsticks then changed the material back.

I found images of rugs and ran them through Substance Designer to generate the maps I needed. I touched up areas and adjusted roughness/AO/normal values in Substance Painter.

This project was a great exercise for me. I used it as a way to learn and develop my skills in Marvelous Designer. This was also a great exercise in texturing. I rendered this project in MArmoset Toolbag 3.
