He-Mant is a character in this universe that we had a lot of fun with. The sippy cup was inspired by sippy cups from the 1950s.
The wood blocks have some of my favorite textures in this game. I created the texture in Substance Designer.
The ant plush was made using Marvelous Designer and Substance Painter.
The following 3 photos have all of my models and textures.
We took inspiration from Andy Warhol in this project. I created this in Photoshop with stock images of ants to mimic the screen printed style.
This couch was the first prop completed in this project. I modeled the blockout in Maya, then took it to Marvelous Designer where I completed the cloth. I then turned it in Substance Painter. A coworker and I combined our ideas together to make the final.
These large table pieces acted as platforms for the player to walk along. I used 3 materials on these objects because they were so big.
These are the material breakdowns used throughout the level. Created with Substance Designer.
This project was used to help some of the artists and designers at Young Horses learn Unreal Engine 5. I knew this program pretty well at this point so I was able to focus on other aspects of making the engine work with the team and help to develop the art style. I documented a lot of the quirks of the engine as well as contributing to about 80% of the models and textures. This is available for free on Steam.
